Pumpkin Music provides guitar, recorder and keyboard tuition to ten schools in the Stroud area. After school hours, private lessons are available in Stroud on Mondays and Thursdays and in the Bussage area on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with classes at Painswick on a Friday.

Pupils, from the age of 7, learn a range of skills from learning simple riffs on the guitar, to using power tab or conventional musical notation and using chords to accompany a wide range of traditional and popular songs.

The lessons are most suitable for acoustic guitar although some electric guitar work is covered. Younger pupils may need to start with a half-sized or three-quarter guitar and instruments are available for hire.
